Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Clinton, Tennessee

Description

We are offering an opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor in our manufacturing facility located in Clinton, Tennessee, 37716, United States. The Accounting Manager/Supervisor will report to the Finance and Accounting Manager and will be responsible for overseeing a range of accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, journal entries, month-end close, reconciliations, and more.

Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing accounts payable and receivable operations to ensure accuracy and timeliness

• Conducting monthly journal entries and month-end close procedures

• Performing balance sheet account reconciliations and bank reconciliations

• Tracking fixed assets and capital expenses, and handling related accounting tasks

• Verifying manager approvals on payroll timesheets, updating payroll changes, and generating payroll reports

• Implementing cost accounting and manufacturing cost accounting procedures

• Conducting inventory reconciliations and maintaining accurate records

• Preparing financial statements

• Collaborating with external auditors, ensuring all required information is available

• Utilizing various accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel for daily tasks

• Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements • Possess a university degree in Accounting or a related field

• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting managerial or supervisory role

• Have expertise in accounting software systems

• Demonstrate knowledge of accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Have experience in auditing

• Possess knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting and standard cost accounting

• Have experience with QAD and Microsoft Excel

• Understand journal entries, month end close, balance sheet account reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Have experience in financial statement preparation and fixed asset accounting

• Familiarity with manufacturing industries would be beneficial

• Ability to work independently and with a team

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
