The Senior Accountant furthers the company's goals through the preparation and consolidation of financial statements, the analysis and reconciliations of accounts, and the analysis of cash flow, as well as the creation of budgets and forecasts, preparation of audits, and management of internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities in this role
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

Requirements - Ability to meet deadlines
Efficient in ERP systems
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Prepare Journal Entries experience
Earlier work involving Monitor Expenditures
Accrued Liabilities experience highly desired
Well-founded grasp of Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Wide ranging experience with depreciation
Quality experience with fixed assets
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
Proven knowledge of Balance Sheets
Practical knowledge of financial reporting
General familiarity with Profit Loss
Foundational knowledge in capital assets
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
2+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
