Robert Half Sr Budget Analyst in Coconut Creek, Florida

Description

  • Develop and manage annual budgets for various programs, departments, or projects within the organization.

  • Conduct financial analysis to evaluate budget proposals, identify trends, and recommend adjustments as needed.

  • Monitor budget allocations and expenditures to ensure compliance with funding guidelines and organizational policies.

  • Collaborate with program managers and department heads to develop budget forecasts and projections.

  • Prepare budget reports and presentations for senior management, board members, and funding agencies.

  • Provide guidance and support to staff regarding budgetary procedures, guidelines, and best practices.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and systems to improve efficiency and accountability.

  • Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and funding applications by providing budgetary information and analysis.

  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis and financial feasibility studies for new initiatives or strategic projects.

  • Serve as a liaison with external auditors, funding agencies, and other stakeholders on budget-related matters.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MPA) preferred.

  • Minimum of [3] years of experience in budget analysis, financial planning, or related roles, preferably in a nonprofit organization or government agency.

  • Strong understanding of budgeting principles, financial management practices, and regulatory requirements.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting software (e.g., Excel, SAP, Hyperion).

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed recommendations.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of nonprofit accounting standards (e.g., GAAP for nonprofits) and government funding regulations (e.g., OMB Circulars) preferred.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) designation a plus.
