Robert Half Sr Budget Analyst in Coconut Creek, Florida
Description
Develop and manage annual budgets for various programs, departments, or projects within the organization.
Conduct financial analysis to evaluate budget proposals, identify trends, and recommend adjustments as needed.
Monitor budget allocations and expenditures to ensure compliance with funding guidelines and organizational policies.
Collaborate with program managers and department heads to develop budget forecasts and projections.
Prepare budget reports and presentations for senior management, board members, and funding agencies.
Provide guidance and support to staff regarding budgetary procedures, guidelines, and best practices.
Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and systems to improve efficiency and accountability.
Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and funding applications by providing budgetary information and analysis.
Conduct cost-benefit analysis and financial feasibility studies for new initiatives or strategic projects.
Serve as a liaison with external auditors, funding agencies, and other stakeholders on budget-related matters.

Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MPA) preferred.
Minimum of [3] years of experience in budget analysis, financial planning, or related roles, preferably in a nonprofit organization or government agency.
Strong understanding of budgeting principles, financial management practices, and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting software (e.g., Excel, SAP, Hyperion).
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed recommendations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of nonprofit accounting standards (e.g., GAAP for nonprofits) and government funding regulations (e.g., OMB Circulars) preferred.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) designation a plus.
