Based in the College Station, Texas area, this role is a career-building, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. Candidates with the ability to to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be preferred. Participation in compliance, interaction with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes are also expected tasks. This position is ideal for someone with a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.
What you get to do every single day
Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request
Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting
Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives
Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions
Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable
Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision
Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills
2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Current and relevant ERP system experience
