Robert Half Cash Applications Specialist in Collierville, Tennessee

Description

We are searching for a candidate for one of our fast-growing clients who has an exciting opportunity for a Cash Applications Specialist in Collierville, Tennessee. This role will involve a focus on customer credit processes and record-keeping within the manufacturing industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Execute daily cash posting of ACH, WIRE, and CHECK payments to customer accounts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Dive into research and resolve any reconciliation issues, maintaining smooth financial operations.

• Conduct daily reconciliation of multiple bank deposits, keeping our accounts balanced and up-to-date.

• Engage in verbal communications with the Credit Department to address any cash application concerns, fostering teamwork and collaboration.

• Collaborate with the Treasury Manager for monthly reconciliation, contributing to strategic financial planning.

• Organize and file bank documents, ensuring easy access and streamlined operations.

• Manage approved write-offs, offsets, and re-agings, optimizing our financial processes.

• Take on other dynamic duties as assigned, showcasing your versatility and dedication.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or G.E.D.

• At least three (3) years of related experience in cash application.

• Strong attention to detail, ensuring precision in every task.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear and effective interactions.

• Proficiency in Excel, leveraging data for insightful financial management.

Requirements • Minimum of two years of experience in an accounting clerk role or similar position

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Billing, Data Entry, and Invoice Processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP systems

• Experience with Cash Applications

• Possession of 10 Key Skills

• Familiarity with Aging Reports, Cash Reconciliations, and Write Offs

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
