Description

Robert Half has partnered with a long standing, respected company in Colorado Springs currently looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join their team. The ideal candidate for the Full Charge Bookkeeper position is a skilled multi-tasker and has a deep understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles. This role will be responsible for all general bookkeeping duties, including managing all facets of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and maintaining accounting databases. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and managing all financial records, including sales, purchases, payments, and receipts.

  • Handling accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

  • Maintaining an accurate record of fixed assets and preparing depreciation schedules.

  • Reconciling banks, credit cards, loans, and other balance sheet accounts.

  • Conducting regular ledger and bank reconciliations.

  • Ensuring correct and swift payment of invoices.

  • Assisting with budget preparations.

  • Managing month-end and year-end closing.

  • Preparing and filing local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

  • Working closely with the accountant in preparing for audits.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a bookkeeping role.

  • Proficient in the use of Sage 100 or other ERP systems.

  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically with excel spreadsheets.

  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

  • Excellent period closing skills, including account reconciliations, and analysis.

  • Exceptional relationship building and communication skills.

  • Understanding of confidentiality and data protection issues.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
