Description

Robert Half is working with growing business to find a talented Human Resources Manager. The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing personnel and daily operations of the human resources department to include recruiting, benefits administration, onboarding, maintaining personnel records, employee relations, compensation & reviews, terminations, professional development, and HR compliance. This HR Manager will play a key role on the leadership team so excellent communication skills are desired. Our client seeks an HR Manager with a bachelor's degree in HR, 5+ years of relevant HR experience to include prior management experience. What you get to do every single day

  • Research compensation standards set by industry and governing bodies in order to create salary structures and administer employee benefits

  • Lead and define exit interviews and procedures

  • Evaluate reports provided by the HR team, team leaders and operations managers to determine employee performance and training needs

  • Monitor and implement applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conduct investigations, maintain records, and represent the organization at hearings

  • Support employees such that they follow all policies and procedures

  • Supervise all HR activities, communications, reports, requests and documents created and received by the team

  • Outline recruitment plans, interview schedules and evaluation standards in accordance with HR methodologies and labor laws

  • Organize historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records

  • Enhance the organization's human resources department by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices

  • Represent your team at interdepartmental meetings with other managers

  • Manage human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees

  • Establish management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures

    Requirements

  • Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience within human resources

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or relevant experience

  • Broad knowledge of HR policies, benefits administration, compensation and wage structure

  • Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills

  • PHR/SPHR or other relevant certifications are preferred

  • 5+ years in human resources

  • Thorough when handling confidential business matters and information with discretion

  • A comprehension of the key principles of employment law and EEOC regulations

  • Ability to view issues with impartiality

  • Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution

  • Proficient with HR software and working knowledge of MS Office

  • Exemplary ethics, integrity, and standards
