As a Senior Accountant, you will be tasked with financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Key responsibilities

• Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests

• Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

• Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external

• Participate in various department-wide initiatives

• Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary

• Produce monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes

• Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations

• Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

• Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process

Requirements

• Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued

• 1+ years of progressive accounting experience within the residential home building industry required

• Skilled at time management

• Ability to meet deadlines

• Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail

• Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

• Month-end Journal Entries experience highly desired

• Demonstrated knowledge of Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• General familiarity with Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

• General ledger experience desired

• Earlier work involving Assigned Balance Sheet

• Background working with bank reconciliations

• Experience with Ledger Balance Sheet Account

• Fixed Asset Accounting experience desired

• Understanding of Job Cost

• Balance sheets experience highly valued

• Bank Account Reconciliation experience highly preferred

• Deep understanding of journal entries

• Depreciation experience preferred

• Prior experience with Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Command of Sage 50

• Comprehension of Consolidated Balance Sheet

• Experience with account reconciliation

• Expertise in Adjusting Journal Entries

• Adeptness in account reconciliation

• Financial statement preparation experience

• Practical knowledge of Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Hands-on experience with Monthly Balance Sheet

• Foundational knowledge in Ledger Journal Entries

• Previous experience working with Balance Sheet Reviews

• Good understanding of Balance Sheet Account

• Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills

• Skilled with ERP systems

• Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• 2+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

• Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
