Description
Robert Half is currently working with a rapidly growing organization in Colorado Springs to find their next Controller. The Controller plays a pivotal role in upholding the organizations mission and values. This position involves working closely with the senior leadership to manage the organization's financial resources. The Controller is also responsible for supervising general accounting, audit, and compliance functions within the Finance department. In addition to supervising the day-to-day work of the team, the Controller will provide training and mentorship. Our client is seeking a Controller with a 4-year degree in accounting, 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a CPA. This position also offers a hybrid work schedule once fully trained.

Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
Prior work in technology, analytics and management experience desired
CPA or MBA preferred
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or another business-related field
Comprehensive knowledge of payroll
General familiarity with IFRS Accounting
Deep understanding of cost accounting
Treasury experience preferred
Proven knowledge of CPA
General ledger experience highly desired
Practical knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne
Quality experience with Microsoft Excel
Good understanding of Income Statements
Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP)
Well-founded grasp of GAAP Accounting
Earlier work involving Balance Sheets
Wide ranging experience with financial statement preparation
