Robert Half Fulfillment Supervisor in Columbia City, Indiana

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Fulfillment Supervisor in Columbia City, Indiana. This role plays a crucial part in managing daily operations within the fulfillment sector of our industry. The job entails supervising a team, coordinating workflows, and ensuring accurate and timely picking, packing, and shipping of orders.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and guide a team of employees in the picking department, focusing on maintaining high productivity and accuracy.

• Oversee the entire order fulfillment process, ensuring that all products are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for shipment.

• Prioritize orders and manage resources to meet tight deadlines.

• Foster a positive work environment, address employee concerns, and encourage team collaboration.

• Implement quality control measures, conducting random audits to ensure that orders meet customer specifications and company standards.

• Enforce safety regulations and maintain a clean and hazard-free work area.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the fulfillment department, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity.

• Generate and analyze reports on key performance indicators related to order accuracy, fulfillment times, and team performance. Requirements • Minimum of three years of experience in a supervisory role within a fulfillment environment

• Proficiency in order picking and order fulfillment processes

• Demonstrable experience in shipping and receiving operations

• Knowledge of shipping documentation and shipping management best practices

• Experience in managing shipping functions and shipping operations

• Proven ability to supervise a team and manage workflow processes effectively

• Strong quality control and process improvement skills

• Experience in shipping products in a timely and efficient manner

• Proficiency in data reporting and ability to use data to inform decision making

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure

• Proficiency in using warehouse management software and other relevant computer applications

• High attention to detail and organizational skills

• Willingness to undergo relevant training and development as required

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary

• Strong commitment to health and safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment

• Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards
