Robert Half HR Coordinator in Columbia, Maryland

Description We are seeking an HR Coordinator in Columbia, Maryland, United States. This role involves a variety of human resources duties within the telecom industry, including benefits administration, onboarding, data entry, and employment verification, among others. As a key part of our team, you will also handle electronic filing and respond to routine benefits questions.


• Administer employee benefits and assist with open enrollment procedures

• Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including I9 verification

• Perform data entry tasks related to human resources functions

• Verify employment for both current and former employees as needed

• Maintain electronic filing systems for HR records and documents

• Respond to routine benefits inquiries from employees

• Utilize ADP Workforce Now for various HR tasks

• Conduct background checks in compliance with company policies

• Administer compensation and ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies

• Handle benefit functions, ensuring all employees understand their options and benefits


• Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now

• Experience with conducting Background Checks

• Understanding of Benefit Functions

• Knowledge of Compensation Administration

• Familiarity with Compliance procedures in HR. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as an HR Coordinator or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now is required.

• Experience in conducting Background Checks is necessary.

• Familiarity with various Benefit Functions is expected.

• Knowledge of Compensation Administration is crucial.

• Demonstrated understanding of HR Compliance standards is essential.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills are necessary.

• A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are essential.

• Must have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is required.

• Must have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of labor laws and employment regulations is beneficial.
