Job Description: We are seeking a talented Accounts Payable Specialist to join this team on a contract-to-hire basis. In this role, you will manage the company's accounts payable to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions. This position is full-time and requires presence on-site.
Responsibilities:
Review and approve invoices and requests for payment.
Verify the accuracy of billing data, correct any invoice errors.
Prepare batches of invoices for data entry and enter invoices for payment.
Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions.
Regularly audit company accounts for discrepancies and resolve potential issues promptly.
Maintain vendor relationships and communication.
Prepare and distribute payments to vendors in a timely manner.
Coordinate with team members to achieve financial objectives.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is ideal
Prior experience in accounts payable, general accounting, or a related field.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with software such as Microsoft Excel and computerized accounting systems.
Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Strong communication skills and proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
