Robert Half Call Center Specialist in Columbia, South Carolina

Description We are in search of a Call Center Specialist to join our team in the non-profit industry. This role is based in Columbia, South Carolina, and requires an individual with strong customer service skills. The job entails processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Answering incoming calls and assisting customers with their inquiries.

• Processing applications for benefits accurately and efficiently.

• Maintaining detailed and accurate customer records in our internal system.

• Utilizing critical thinking skills to resolve complex customer issues.

• Ensuring customer satisfaction by providing exceptional customer service.

• Monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions as needed.

• Working in a call center environment, adhering to set protocols and procedures.

• Collaborating with the contact center supervisor to improve customer service procedures.

• Operating in a business casual attire and adhering to the set work schedule.

This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. Requirements

** Bilingual is a PLUS

• Demonstrated proficiency in Call Center Customer Service

• Solid experience in general Customer Service

• Ability to efficiently handle an Answering Multi-Line Phone System

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Capability to handle stressful situations and high call volumes calmly and effectively

• Proven track record of reliability and commitment to providing excellent customer service

• Familiarity with using computer systems for data entry, information retrieval, and record keeping

• Commitment to the mission and values of our non-profit organization

• Flexibility to work in different shifts, including weekends and holidays if required

• High school diploma or equivalent; higher education or certifications in related fields will be considered a plus.
