Robert Half Compliance Analyst in Columbia, South Carolina

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Compliance Analyst in the Insurance industry based in Columbia, South Carolina, United States. The role primarily involves the investigation, evaluation, and resolution of complex liability and first party property claims. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including field adjusters, attorneys, and external claim experts.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex liability and first party property claims.

• Collaborate with vendors such as field adjusters, attorneys, and external claim experts for claims resolution.

• Provide prompt and courteous handling of claims to policyholders and claimants.

• Act as the primary handler for all assigned files.

• Prepare claim files for presentation with defense counsel on property and liability litigation files.

• Develop and partner with defense counsel in pursuing effective and cost-effective litigation strategies.

• Execute final resolution of the claim file.

• Attend trials, mediations and depositions by phone or in person as needed.

• Contact and negotiate lawsuits directly with plaintiff attorneys when appropriate.

• Place special emphasis on complying with established claim and litigation guidelines. Requirements • Possess solid knowledge and understanding of Compliance within the insurance industry.

• Demonstrate ability to manage and oversee insurance claims processes.

• Have expertise in both Liability Insurance and Property Insurance.

• Strong documentation skills, capable of maintaining accurate records.

• Have the ability to interpret and apply insurance regulations and laws.

• Exhibit strong analytical skills to evaluate compliance procedures.

• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with stakeholders.

• Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.

• Show proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

• Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Have a Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field.

• Possess relevant professional certification such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) or similar.

• Show commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends and regulations.

• Previous experience in a similar role within the insurance industry would be a plus.
