Description We are looking for a dedicated Controller to join our team in Columbia, South Carolina. The selected candidate will primarily be responsible for overseeing the bank's accounting and financial reporting systems, internal controls, and compliance with all applicable bank regulations. This role is a contract position and offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accounting department, including accounts payable, fixed assets, posting to the general ledger, reconciliations and balancing, financial statement preparation, and regulatory reporting.

• Provide support for budgeting, auditing, accounting, and other finance-related tasks.

• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial and liquidity reports, including the quarterly Asset/Liability Committee ALCO package.

• Establish, monitor, and enforce policies, procedures, and internal controls.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and GAAP at the bank.

• Assist with the gathering of information for audits and examinations by Regulators and Auditors as needed.

• Monitor the capital position and its sources and uses. Maintain the security of money, securities, and other important documents.

• Monitor company liabilities, including legal contracts, statutory & tax obligations, leases, or insurance summaries.

• Maintain accounting and financial staff by recruiting, selecting, and monitoring job results.

• Utilize ERP Solutions, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Financial Statement, and Financial Statement Preparation skills in performing duties. Requirements • Candidate must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position

• Proficiency in ERP Solutions is essential

• Strong knowledge of Accounting Functions is required

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary

• Must have a good understanding of Fixed Assets

• Familiarity with General Ledger is required

• Must have experience in Financial Statement analysis

• Proficiency in Financial Statement Preparation is a must

• Excellent communication and leadership skills are necessary

• Must have a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a master's degree or CPA is preferred

• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the country without requiring sponsorship.
