The Financial Analyst will manage financial modeling on various financial products as well as measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. Your other duties will include advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. This role via Robert Half Finance provides an exciting opportunity to perform in a business partner capacity in areas such as forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management with fellow colleagues. Located in the Blythewood, South Carolina, this Financial Analyst role is a full-time employment opportunity.
How you will make an impact
Look over performance to date while assessing potential opportunities and risks
Support weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting
Gather and oversee forecasting reports
Understand and be able to explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending
Develop monthly reports to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required
Track monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources
Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives through the development of financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
Collaborate with the Accounting team on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to ensure plans are executed properly
The ideal candidate should be a highly flexible individual who is adept at managing expectations and comfortable with handling large amounts of information
Deliver valuable foresight and decision support by enabling effective Business Intelligence (BI) Requirements - Sound written and verbal communication skills
Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools experience a plus
Practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience prioritized)
Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions
Qualified in Spreadsheet and ERP system
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Foundational knowledge in Power BI
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne experience highly desired
Deep understanding of Microsoft Excel
Financial analysis experience desired
