Description

Our client is seeking an HR Business Partner in the construction/contractor industry. Based in Columbia, South Carolina, this role involves a diverse range of HR functions, from managing day-to-day operations to implementing HR programs that foster a positive work culture.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day HR operations to ensure a seamless employee experience

• Provide expert guidance on all aspects of HR, including talent management, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development

• Develop and implement HR programs and policies that drive employee engagement

• Serve as a trusted advisor to employees at all levels, providing coaching and support on HR-related matters

• Partner with senior management on HR initiatives

• Manage employee relations issues with professionalism and resolve conflicts in a fair and timely manner

• Analyze HR data to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement

• Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations

• Serve as a resource for employees, answering questions, and providing guidance on HR policies and procedures

• Travel to construction sites to provide support to employees on location

• Utilize HRMS for managing HR tasks and maintaining employee records

• Manage employee relations, ensuring a positive and respectful work environment.

Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in HRMS (Human Resource Management Systems)

• Proven ability to ensure Compliance with labor laws and industry regulations

• Strong skills in fostering positive Employee Relations

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred

• Prior experience in a HR Generalist role within the Construction/Contractor industry is desirable

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment

• Demonstrated understanding of HR best practices and current regulations

• Willingness to continue learning and improving HR skills and knowledge.
