Description
Well-established, growing professional service-industry employer is hiring an Accountant for their corporate office located in downtown Columbia, SC. The Accountant will be responsible for balance sheet reconciliations, creating journal entries, working closely with department managers to assist with GL inquiries, account reconciliations to include bank reconciliations, month end close activities and analysis, and fixed asset management. Ideal candidate will have 2+ years of related GL accounting experience, a minimum of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, intermediate Excel skills, and experience working with an ERP system.
Requirements
• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations is required
• Familiarity with General Ledger management is essential
• Expertise in processing Journal Entries is needed
• Proficiency in conducting Month End Close procedures is required
• Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are necessary
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required
• Must have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• An Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required
