Description
We are in search of an experienced Tax Manager (or Snr Mgr)- Public for our South Carolina based client. The Tax Manager will be responsible for new and existing client relationships, oversight for the preparation of corporate and individual returns and tax planning and the mentoring/development of staff. This role does require experience and knowledge in multi-state tax .The Ideal candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, MACC preferred, and will be a CPA. The workplace will adopt a hybrid schedule and the home office can be in the Charleston, SC, Columbia, SC or Greenville, SC areas, providing flexibility in balancing personal and professional commitments. Our client is offering relocation assistance. This role is a permanent position that requires a strong understanding of accounting software systems and financial services.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the processing of multi-state tax operations.
• Supervise, guide and manage team members, fostering a supportive and high-performing work environment.
• Ensure client compliance with tax laws and regulations, applying knowledge of annual income tax provision and entity formation.
• Monitor and manage busy season hours, ensuring the team's efficiency and productivity
Requirements
• Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role
• Capable of handling Accounting and Tax Functions
• CPA is ideal with a Bachelors / Masters degree in Accounting
