Robert Half Assistant Human Resource Manager in Columbus, Indiana

Description

We are seeking an Assistant Human Resources Manager to join a company based in Columbus, Indiana. The role involves collaborating with the Human Resources Manager to create and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs. Additionally, you will provide daily guidance and support to the organization regarding human resource functions, programs, and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Human Resources Manager to create and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs

• Provide daily guidance and support to the organization regarding human resource functions

• Manage benefits and wellness programs

• Oversee leave administration and workers compensation

• Handle talent acquisition, development and performance management processes

• Ensure smooth personnel administration

• Resolve any employee relations issues

• Maintain a strong knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations

• Utilize HR technologies for efficient operations, knowledge of Paycor and Epicor is beneficial

• Conduct employee relation activities and manage benefit functions.

Requirements • Applicants must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of Human Resources.

• Comprehensive understanding and experience in Benefit Functions is required.

• Proficient in managing Employee Relations.

• A degree in Human Resources or a related field is desirable.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organization.

• Strong leadership and team management skills, along with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.

• Proficient in the use of HR management software and systems.

• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

• Solid understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures.

• Proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with overall business strategies.

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
