Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk based in Columbus, Ohio. This role is within the accounting industry and will involve working on a special Accounts Receivable project. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching short pay, investigating variances and discrepancies, and documenting findings in Excel. The ability to work independently and with strong attention to detail is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough research on short pay scenarios

• Identify and investigate any variances and discrepancies in accounts receivable

• Accurately document findings and actions taken in an Excel spreadsheet

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to create detailed reports and present data

• Handle data entry tasks related to accounts receivable

• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting

• Utilize Accounts Receivable (AR) knowledge to effectively manage and resolve customer credit inquiries

• Continuously monitor customer credit accounts for any irregularities

• Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments when necessary

• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and adhere to company standards and regulations. Requirements • Must possess proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required

• Strong data entry skills are essential

• Knowledge in accounting principles and procedures

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Excellent organizational skills

• Ability to meet tight deadlines

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; college degree in accounting or related field is preferred

• Familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
