Robert Half Assistant Controller in Columbus, Ohio
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Controller to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. This role involves a variety of accounting processes, including accruals, reconciliations, cost reporting, and other monthly and yearly close functions. You will also be expected to utilize your supervisory skills in managing a team.
Responsibilities:
• Overseeing accounting processes such as accruals and reconciliations
• Ensuring accurate cost reporting, and managing other monthly and yearly close functions
• Utilizing your skills in Public Accounting and Account Reconciliation
• Applying your Certified Public Accountant (CPA) abilities in various tasks
• Supervising a team and ensuring efficient workflow
• Implementing Bank Reconciliation procedures as needed
• Managing and maintaining financial records and reports
• Ensuring all accounting tasks are performed to the highest standards
• Providing guidance and support to the accounting team as necessary
• Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in an Assistant Controller role or similar
• Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations and Account Reconciliation
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required
• Previous experience in Public Accounting is preferred
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in financial software applications
• Demonstrable leadership and decision-making abilities
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
