Robert Half Business Systems Analyst (IT): III (Senior) in COLUMBUS, Ohio

Description The Application Development Project Manager role is focused on delivering value for key business initiatives and is responsible for aligning efforts across various product/delivery teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead conversations and generate alignment to mitigate risks, manage dependencies and remove roadblocks across the program.

  • Identify and analyze the risks associated with achieving the milestones for a project. Develop risk mitigation strategies.

  • Lead the design, development and implementation of project policies and standardized processes to improve and/or establish best practices for efficiency and consistency.

  • Lead communication with stakeholder groups, including securing sponsorship, establishing governance and proactively building awareness of the program and outcomes.

  • Surface business objectives and desired outcomes, establish key results and monitor KPIs to show progress and measure the value of delivery.

  • Own planning, initiation and discovery activities across cross-functional teams and stakeholders to effectively manage program scope and execution of value delivery for key initiatives, communicate status of the project to senior management.

  • Create awareness through workshops, process and value stream mapping activities, document inputs/outputs of complex workflows, understand dependencies, highlight waste and illustrate value delivered.

  • Along with the development team, design, test, implement, and maintain updates within company databases and applications necessary to streamline/automate a business process.

  • Produce visualizations of work across all teams impacted by the project.

  • Develop reports and validate data.

  • Track project costs.

  • Establish high-level goals and road map associated with their project.

  • Plan and complete pre-deployment user acceptance testing that is specific to the project with the Deployment Manager. Requirements

  • Understands and be able to speak to the initiative, provide status at any given time to the Product Owner or Internal SOA Team Members (SOA BOW meeting)

  • Update SOA BOW status weekly with key message and Story/Points completed, in flight and planned

  • Act with appropriate sense of urgency in communications and escalations

  • Strong communication skills to act as the liaison between the technical and the LOB

  • Attend BSA team meetings, be an active participant by providing input on processes and mentoring/helping others on the team as needed

  • Work with ES architect(s) as needed to understand ES application processes, functional, downstream and upstream behavior, dependencies and impacts

  • Have strong analytical skills to be able to relate various aspects of the product
