Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Buyer in Columbus, Ohio. The role involves various tasks in purchasing and accounting, liaising with multiple departments, and handling a fast-paced work environment. This position requires someone with skills in Pricing Analysis, Data Reporting, Purchasing Functions, and Purchasing Materials.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with various departments including accounting and shipping to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct regular reviews of purchasing reports and make necessary adjustments.
• Analyze price changes and make purchasing decisions accordingly.
• Handle quotes and pricing changes efficiently.
• Utilize software tools like VLU and Epicor P21 for various tasks.
• Ensure accurate order entry and expedite shipping and logistics when necessary.
• Maintain a fast-paced work environment, effectively multitasking as needed.
• Use your buyer experience or strong accounting skills to contribute to the team.
• Leverage inside sales experience to enhance purchasing functions.
• Utilize expertise in Pricing Analysis and Data Reporting to improve purchasing processes. Requirements • Proficiency in Pricing Analysis, with the ability to evaluate and compare suppliers' prices to achieve cost-effective deals.
• Demonstrated experience in Data Reporting, with the capacity to analyze and interpret purchasing data to support decision-making processes.
• Previous experience as a Buyer, understanding the dynamics of sourcing, negotiating, and procurement.
• Knowledge of Purchasing Materials, with the ability to source quality materials while maintaining budget constraints.
• Familiarity with Purchasing Functions, including planning, selecting, and procuring products for the organization.
