Robert Half Employee Accommodations Consultant in Columbus, Ohio

Description

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity in the banking industry, specifically located at our clients' operations center in Columbus, Ohio. The role of an Employee Accommodations Consultant is vital to their HR team, where the primary function revolves around facilitating the administration of the Bank’s accommodation processes and policies. This role necessitates extensive collaboration with legal entities, the leave administration team, and a third party administrator.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in effective dialogue with colleagues about their accommodation needs, intermittent leaves, non-FMLA leaves of absence, and personal leaves, ensuring they are aware of their responsibilities and of the required documentation and notice for qualifying for an accommodation.

• Arrange, execute, and document interactive process discussions to determine the best course of action concerning restrictions and accommodations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws including ADA.

• Sustain knowledge of all relevant leave of absence and accommodation laws and regulations, including federal FMLA, ADA, state and local laws.

• Advise managers and colleagues to promote communication, maintain effective working relationships, and foster a positive work environment.

• Document all employee relation matters in a detailed and timely manner using the designated case management system.

• Comprehend and adhere to relevant company policies as well as pertinent federal, state, and local laws in all work activities.

• Thrive in a high-volume environment where effective prioritization is key to success.

• Undertake other duties and projects as required.

Requirements • Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services is necessary

• Must be skilled in using ADP Workforce Now

• Knowledge of ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode is required

• Ceridian software experience is beneficial

• Familiarity with Dayforce is needed

• Understanding of various Benefit Functions is essential

• Strong Communication skills are required

• Knowledge of Compliance regulations and laws is necessary

• Must have experience in Employee Relations

• Familiarity with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) is crucial
