Robert Half HR Coordinator in Columbus, Ohio

Description We are offering a contract-to-hire opportunity for a detail-oriented HR Coordinator in the retail food store industry, based in Columbus, Ohio. The role involves a range of duties, from HRIS data entry and maintenance to administrative support for the home office.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the optimized use of the HRIS and maintain accurate electronic personnel records

• Generate monthly people analytics data for the Chief People Officer

• Provide administrative support, including event and meeting coordination and updating floor plans and office equipment

• Respond to background check, loan, and other employment and wage verification inquiries

• Coordinate recruitment processes, including initial job postings, scheduling meetings and interviews, and tracking candidates

• Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes for home office employees

• Administer the Learning Management System, including reporting and user enrollments

• Approve basic leave requests and respond to general HR inquiries as appropriate

• Maintain company contact list and organizational charts

• Process and sort HR mail and support internal communication systems. Requirements

• Must have recent experience with ADP Workforce Now

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an HR Coordinator or in a similar role within the retail industry

• Proven experience in performing HR administrative tasks such as benefit functions, compensation administration, and compliance

• Extensive background in employee onboarding and conducting new-employee orientations

• Familiarity with I-9 audits and I-9 compliance

• Proficiency in using HRIS database and HRIS system for HRIS reporting

• Experience in handling job postings, employment verifications, and job requisitions

• Ability to manage leave requests and maintain organizational charts

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Proven track record of maintaining personnel files and records

• Experience in employee training, employee engagement, and handling employee feedback

• Strong understanding of employee relations

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
