Robert Half Managing Editor in COLUMBUS, Ohio
Robert Half Marketing & Creative is seeking someone who is mission driven for an onsite managing editor with a company located in Central Ohio. This role will be interacting with multiple people internally within as well as the outside community. Day to day, this person will be planning, writing and editing publications and conducting the public relations program.
participate in development of goals and implementation of strategic plan
maintain close communication and effective working relationships with other divisions
advise and consult with board members and administrators
assist division director with budget and other matters affecting division activities
plan, monitor and evaluate division activities to ensure their continuing effectiveness and responsiveness to constituents’ needs
write articles and develop publications on topics related to division activities
prepare and present training programs and seminars on issues and topics related to division activities
edit association publications
write and produce association publications
write news releases and assist with media relations
coordinate news service
assist with Conference preparation duties as assigned by deputy director of communications and division director
Other Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Abide by Guiding Principles and Staff Handbook policies 2. Research and develop new products and programs 3. Coordinate, monitor and/or serve on internal or external committees or agencies as assigned 4. Serve as liaison to various programs 5. Promote services 6. Perform assigned duties at Conference 7. Participate in detail oriented development opportunities 8. Proofread designated communications and publications 10. Attend association meetings as assigned 11. Serve as photographer 12. Develop public service announcements for the association 13. Assist with coordination of communication programs 14. Assist with designing promotional, informational and association publications 15. Perform special communications projects as assigned 16. Perform other duties as assigned by the deputy director, division director, deputy chief executive and chief executive officer

Additional Working Conditions: 1. Weekend and evening work, including occasional out-of-state and overnight travel 2. Travel (must provide own insured means of transportation) 3. Lifting and carrying (25 lb. minimum)
