Robert Half Medical Receptionist in Columbus, Ohio

Description

We are in search of a Medical Receptionist based in Columbus, Ohio. This role primarily focuses on patient coordination, data entry, answering phones, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment where your knowledge of medical software and excellent communication skills will be essential.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating patient care by scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.

• Performing data entry tasks to update patient records with their latest medical history.

• Answering incoming calls, addressing patient inquiries, and providing information about our services.

• Verifying patient insurance coverage and explaining the details of their policies.

• Scheduling patient appointments and sending reminders to ensure smooth patient visits.

• Utilizing medical software such as: Allscripts, EHR SYSTEM, Medisoft, and NextGen to manage patient records.

• Assisting with billing functions, creating charts and graphs to track patient progress.

• Liaising with insurance companies to clarify coverage details and resolve any disputes.

• Checking patients in upon their arrival and guiding them through the necessary paperwork.

• Managing patient calls, providing them with the necessary information, and addressing their concerns promptly.

Requirements

• Must possess proficiency in medical software such as Allscripts, EHR SYSTEM, Medisoft, and NextGen.

• Demonstrated ability to handle billing functions and insurance matters.

• Experience in managing patient calls and check-ins.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and the ability to create charts and graphs.

• Prior experience in a chiropractic setting is a plus.

• Working knowledge of clinical trial operations is desirable.

• Able to maintain and manage patient records effectively.

• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and other healthcare professionals.

• Must be able to handle confidential patient information with discretion.

• Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.

• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and medical terminologies.

• Must be legally eligible to work in the country of employment.
