Accountemps is seeking a Payroll Administrator for a long-term temporary opportunity with an organization in Columbus. To those with full cycle payroll experience, adept communication skills and clever problem-solving capabilities, you will find this to be the perfect opportunity for you! This dedicated and passionate team is excited to add another member to their payroll team. Prior experience with UltiPro software will be required!
How you will make an impact:
Using federal and state regulations and guidelines, certify company compliance
Handle payroll discrepancies through information collection and analysis
Draft reports by organizing all summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
Continue employee confidence in payroll operations by keeping sensitive information confidential
Calculate employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments and employee federal and state income and social security taxes to determine payroll liabilities
Payroll record maintenance by tracking changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers
Payroll information management via collecting, calculating, and entering data
Report changes where necessary after maintaining payroll operations via company policies and procedures
Take charge of all questions and requests related to payroll
Put together for department heads the circulation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports
Provide help with all internal and external audits of payroll
Manage employee deductions and other liabilities
Knowledgeable of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen
Knowledgeable about federal and state payroll regulations and requirements
Command of UltiPro
Full Cycle Payroll experience
General proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred
Certified Payroll detail oriented will be given preference
Relevant experience of 2+ years in payroll
Previous experience handling high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc.
