Robert Half Senior Accountant in Columbus, Ohio
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and preparation of journal entries. You will also be required to use software such as Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP, and participate in month-end close activities.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and process account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting principles
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliation, making necessary adjustments to align with financial statements
• Prepare and post journal entries, providing detailed explanations and supporting documentation for transactions
• Utilize software tools such as Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting tasks
• Participate in month-end close activities, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and within specified timelines
• Review and update the general ledger to reflect accurate accounting and financial data
• Perform bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports, providing insights to management for decision making
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in managing sensitive financial information. Requirements • A minimum of 3 years experience working as an accountant, or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in Month End Close procedures.
• Familiarity with financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
