Robert Half Sr. Financial Analyst in Columbus, Ohio

Description

Robert Half Management Resources is currently looking for an experienced Sr. Financial Analyst to support a contract/project opportunity with Real Estate industry client in Columbus, OH. The Sr. Financial Analyst will work to evaluate and update MS Excel models used for budgeting, forecasting, and real estate project analysis. This is a contract role, with potential opportunity for hire with the client following the contract period. This role is based 100% onsite at the client's location in Columbus, OH. Real Estate industry experience is preferred, but candidates without the industry, but with strong Financial Analysis work experience and excellent MS Excel modelling skills will be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process and evaluate financial models, including long-range plans, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Maintain accurate financial records and conduct regular reviews to ensure data integrity.

• Utilize advanced Excel skills to manage complex functions, pivot tables, and financial modeling.

• Critically analyze financial data and challenge assumptions where needed.

• Understand and apply knowledge of real estate industry practices, including deal structures, capital stack, proformas, and joint venture models.

• Collaborate with other team members to put together cash models for the upcoming month, quarter, and year.

• Offer actionable insights and strategic recommendations based on complex financial data analysis.

• Provide support in financial due diligence for real estate transactions and acquisitions.

• Independently make strategic decisions and think critically beyond numbers.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role such as FP& A Manager or related finance management role.

• Strong working knowledge of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A).

• Demonstrated proficiency in Financial Modeling.

• Industry experience in Real Estate is required.

• Proven skills in Budgeting and Forecasting.

• Experience in Cash Flow Modeling.

• Proficiency in Pro Formas.

• Familiarity with Deal Structure.

• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field is required; an MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is preferred.

• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel skills.

• Familiarity with financial software and systems.
