Robert Half International Sr. Financial Analyst in COLUMBUS, Ohio

Description A growing company is seeking an experienced, long-term temporary-to-full-time Senior Financial Analyst to join the efforts of their dynamic team. The Senior Financial Analyst consultant is in charge of project spending, planning, forecasting, and annual budgeting, serving as the primary point of contact for all financial issues. You will need to follow public reporting requirements in order to perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments, as well as provide decision-making support for future company investments. This Senior Financial Analyst will be located in Columbus, Ohio.

  • Assess and execute financial analysis in order to optimize business performance

  • Help create sustainable business, operational, and financial processes to be understood by all necessary teams

  • Evaluate financial results, summarize key issues, and articulate integral messages to senior management in order to drive existing management reporting

  • Analyze financial results, distill/synthesize key trends, assess current and future business risks, and communicate critical updates to senior leadership all in the course of preparing monthly and quarterly management reports

  • Offer assistance for ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests as necessary

  • Provide management reporting, accounting and compliance guidance, and ensure alignment of operational initiatives by working closely with the Functional leads

  • Coordinate with Operations and Accounting to discreetly and accurately track financial results in order to drive improved management reporting

  • Build positive relationships with key business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership Requirements

  • CPA/MBA preferred

  • Finance or Business BA/BS degree or one in a related field required

  • Track-record in process reengineering and optimization

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Prior experience in office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended

  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Forecasting & modeling experience

  • Strong familiarity with Ad Hoc Financial Analysis

  • Cost accounting experience

  • Financial analysis experience preferred

  • Budgeting experience required

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company

  • Experience within SAP (specifically, Controlling and Costing)

  • Ability to work effectively and cross-functionally, think practically and be solution-oriented

  • Compelling strategy mindset and a track record of interacting successfully with management
