Description Tax Accountant-Lead

Immediate opening for Tax Accountant-Lead to work on site in Columbus, OH

The Tax Accountant-Lead exercises control over the preparation and maintenance of tax records and information used in completing tax returns.

Duties and Responsibilities of Tax Accountant-Lead include:

-Prepares monthly quarterly and annual consolidated tax provision and tax footnote disclosure in accordance

with ASC 740.

-Prepare and maintain income tax account reconciliations on a monthly quarterly and annual basis.

-Prepares the most complex tax returns and related reports and analyses.

-Coordinates tax audits responds to tax auditors and keeps senior management informed of audit status.

-Researches tax laws and communicates conclusions to management.

-Implements procedures to comply with new tax laws. Provides guidance to other tax accountants.

Minimum Qualifications to be considered for Tax Accountant-Lead:

-5-7 years in Corporate Tax experience

-Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

Preferred Qualifications to be considered for Tax Accountant-Lead:

-Strong Corporate tax return experience

-Familiarity with tax compliance systems

-Proficiency in basic Microsoft Suite Excel Word etc.

-Fast paced and detail oriented

-Ability to prioritize and simultaneously handle deadlines ad hoc requests and regular deliverables

-CPA preferred
