Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Commerce, California
Description We are seeking a Credit Clerk for our team based in Commerce, California. This role falls within the Wholesale Distribution industry and primarily focuses on the function of an Accounts Receivable Clerk. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity where you will be handling high volume invoice processing, customer service, and other related tasks in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
• Handle high volume invoice processing efficiently
• Actively engage in check coding and matching
• Return calls from customers promptly and professionally
• Process and apply customer payments effectively
• Respond to customer’s email inquiries in a timely and courteous manner
• Perform clerical work and maintain organized records
• Conduct special projects as assigned
• Communicate with customers via email for clarification and resolution of issues
• Utilize skills in Account Coding and Customer Service to perform tasks efficiently
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary actions for delinquent payments. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years experience in an Accounts Receivable role within the Wholesale Distribution industry
• Proficient in Account Coding and able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the process
• Excellent customer service skills with a proven track record of maintaining positive relationships with clients
• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
• Familiarity with accounting software and systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented and able to work with a high level of accuracy
• Must have the legal right to work in the specified location
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
