Description
We are in the search for a meticulous and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team based in Commerce, California. In this role, you will be responsible for various accounting duties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and some payroll responsibilities. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, ideal for those seeking to make a significant impact in a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently processing customer credit applications
• Accurate maintenance of customer credit records
• Regularly monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action
• Handling accounts payable tasks such as weekly check runs, compiling invoices, packing slips, and entering data into the system
• Managing accounts receivable duties such as billing, invoicing, applying cash receipts into the system, making deposits, and filing
• Assisting with payroll duties, including entering and checking hours and rectifying issues in ADP
• Utilizing SAP to manage various accounting tasks
• Using Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas for data entry and other related tasks
• Ensuring all tasks are completed with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Requirements • Possess at least one year of experience in a similar role or relevant field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas is essential
• Prior experience with SAP is highly desirable
• Knowledge and experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Experience in payroll management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
• Familiarity with accounting software and databases.
