Robert Half Employer Accounting Analyst in Concord, California

Description We are in search of an Employer Accounting Analyst to join our team in the healthcare industry located in Concord, California. In this role, you will be involved in processing contributions for health and welfare and pension benefits, ensuring accuracy of calculations, and coordinating with various stakeholders. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Interface with participating employers to process contributions for health and welfare and pension benefits for covered employees

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to process monthly contributions for participating employers and create test files for data upload to the mainframe

• Carry out daily downloads of lockbox detail and allocate receipts to appropriate funds

• Balance monthly receipts to bank statements and prepare totals for monthly general ledger update

• Perform file transfer, receipt, and collection of dependent premiums

• Conduct research and prepare documentation for compliance audits, account reconciliations, and withdrawal liability

• Bill receivable balances including liquidated damages and provide supporting documentation identifying amounts due

• Coordinate arbitrations and collection action for unpaid contributions in conjunction with counsel and management

• Apply payments to specific accounts, reconcile invoices for differences, and prepare billing documents and discrepancy letters

• Use skills in Accounts Receivable (AR), Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Excel, and Billing to ensure efficient operations. Requirements • Must hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) processes and procedures is required.

• Proven experience in the Healthcare or NHS sector is desirable.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Excel is essential.

• Must have a strong understanding of billing procedures and practices.

• Excellent analytical and numerical skills are required.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.

• Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.

• Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

• Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
