Description

Accountemps is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join the dynamic team of one of our clients. This will be a long-term temporary opportunity with a well-known company in Concord, California. The ideal Payroll Administrator is a problem solver, willing to take on projects outside of their job scope and fully knowledgeable in all aspects of payroll.

Payroll Administrator Responsibilities:

  • Process multi-state payroll for 500+ employees on a bi-weekly basis

  • Communicate/train employees regarding the use of payroll system including data entry of time sheets and online access of pay statements, etc.

  • Data entry into spreadsheets and payroll system

  • Perform reconciliations and prepare payroll reports

  • Prepare journal entries in relation to payroll

  • Run and build custom reports

  • Special projects as assigned by management team

Requirements

Payroll Administrator Requirements:

  • B.S. in Accounting or Finance preferred

  • 3+ years of Payroll experience

  • Web Based: ADP, Paylocity, or Workday experience is highly desirable

  • Demonstration of multi-state payroll

  • Garnishments experience preferred

  • Microsoft Excel skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines
