Description

Robert Half has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Systems Administrator! This Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for ensuring the health, maintenance, monitoring, and upgrading of all Windows servers and networking devices, providing Tier 3 support for all servers, workstations, and network systems. The Senior Systems Administrator will also design and implement system and network solutions based on organizational needs. This Senior Systems Administrator role is ideal for someone with extensive experience in managing and administering various systems and applications. Responsibilities:

• Oversee server administration and maintenance, including hardware and applications such as MS Exchange / o365, Teams, MS SQL Server, SharePoint, Desktop Central Mange Engine suite, and Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop environments

• Manage Active Directory infrastructure including digital certificates (PKI), DHCP, DNS, GPO, and secure protocols including SSL/TLS

• Administer and manage Dell Apex storage systems supporting VMware Hosts and XenDesktop Instances

• Monitor Anti-Virus servers and clients, independently identify and resolve issues

• Support and administer remote data center replication services and infrastructure

• Oversee network infrastructure including troubleshooting installation problems on Cisco, Dell, Meraki, switches, firewalls, and routers

• Define and document best practices and support procedures

• Mentor and cross-train team members on existing and new technology

• Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments, and contingency plans

• Work closely with senior management on maintaining our Disaster Recovery /Business Continuity plans

• Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, ensuring all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved promptly with limited disruption

• Manage data backup and recovery/disaster recovery preparedness

• Coordinate with affiliate consultants to configure systems and resolve server configuration issues

• Install and deploy new software releases, system upgrades, and patches, and conduct software conversions and audits regularly using Desktop Central’s Manage Engine

• Responsible for advanced network printer setup and troubleshooting

• Provide an advanced level of support and troubleshooting for end-user issues as well as assist with first-level calls as needed

• Resolve software incompatibility problems and/or engage vendors as needed

• Provide a leadership role in tracking software/hardware licensing compliance

• Troubleshoot or assume ownership of escalated and more complex Helpdesk tickets, resolve

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of seven years of experience in the role of Systems Administrator.

• Proficient in Azure, Cisco Technologies, Database, Dell Technologies, and EO/IR systems.

• Demonstrable expertise in Linux Technologies, Active Directory, and Backup Technologies.

• Proficiency in Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, and Deployments is essential.

• Must exhibit a strong understanding of VMware, Vmware Infrastructure, and Vmware Technologies.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Exchange Server is required.

• Familiarity with Citrix XenDesktop, Citrix XenApp, and XenApp is a must.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
