Description Robert Half currently has a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their dynamic, innovative team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. What you get to do every day

  • Manage monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

  • Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Other projects as necessary

  • Achieve compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners

  • Work with internal and external auditors to coordinate quarterly reviews and testing

  • Create analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

  • Be a part of various initiatives spanning multiple departments

  • Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting Requirements - Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner

  • A strong track record of communicating, both verbally and in writing, with functional department managers

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

  • Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

  • Experience in SOX control execution/documentation

  • Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

  • Financial reporting systems proficiency

  • Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills

  • ERP system experience

  • Knowledge of journal entries

  • Deep understanding of sales and use tax

  • Solid understanding of account reconciliation

  • Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience

  • Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines

  • Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
