Description

We are seeking a remote Senior Statistical Data Analyst (Workers Compensation). The role involves the critical task of developing and guiding the submission of worker's compensation data to the appropriate authorities, monitoring inconsistencies within statistical data, and supporting internal groups to ensure compliance and efficiency. This role offers a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Guide the process of submitting workers' compensation data to the relevant states, regulatory authorities, and insurance rating/collection bureaus.

• Address internal and external unit stat data requests as necessary.

• Collaborate with regulatory and compliance authorities as required.

• Review and enact changes in statistical workers' compensation data requirements.

• Facilitate changes for external unit statistical data reporting by coordinating with internal stakeholders like actuary, compliance, and workers' compensation teams.

• Identify and understand the origins of data deficiencies to support corrective action.

• Monitor the impact of alterations in systems, integrations, and new products on statistical data reporting requirements.

• Analyze exceptions in statistical data that may require a review and remediation.

• Support the Project Management Office and other internal groups to ensure statistical reporting requirements are compliant and efficient.

• Validate data and review data call submissions, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

Skills:

• Knowledge of Workers Compensation data call reporting and regulation

• Familiarity with Unit Stat Reporting, various rating bureaus and the NCCI

• Proficiency in Data Mining Techniques and Data Analysis

• Experience in Data Mapping

• Ability to create and interpret Statistical Reports

• Familiarity with Commercial Insurance industry

Requirements

• Ability to create Statistical Reports

• Understanding of Commercial Insurance

• Proven ability to interpret financial data and provide insights

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in using statistical analysis software

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related field

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Good organizational and multitasking abilities

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools.
