Robert Half Assistant Controller in Conover, North Carolina
Description We are searching for a diligent Assistant Controller to join our team in Conover, North Carolina. You will play a vital role in our manufacturing industry, helping to streamline our accounting processes, maintain financial records, and enhance our financial procedures. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the processing and verification of credit applications from customers to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain detailed records of customer credit, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurate.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries in a timely manner, providing excellent customer service.
• Monitor customer accounts regularly, identifying any irregularities or issues and taking appropriate action.
• Collaborate closely with IT and Finance teams to improve financial processes and systems.
• Assist in the integration of inventory with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Contribute to the monthly end close process and generate accurate financial reports.
• Perform detailed inventory analysis to assist in cost accounting and management.
• Assist in managing the financial aspects of multiple legal entities, understanding the complexity of the operations.
• Drive financial learning and understanding within the manufacturing team, particularly in areas of materials, costing, and manufacturing processes. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Cost Accounting.
• Strong understanding of Manufacturing Cost Accounting.
• Proven experience with Standard Cost Accounting.
• Ability to manage Month End Close procedures.
• Proficient in Financial Reporting.
• Experience in Inventory Analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.
• Proficiency with accounting software and related tools.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
