Robert Half Bookkeeper in Conroe, Texas

Description We are seeking a proficient Bookkeeper located in Conroe, Texas. The role involves meticulous review and coding of online transactions, ensuring their accuracy and legitimacy. The position also requires account reconciliation and frequent collaboration with clients, vendors, and team members. This role will be performed in-office, adhering to the necessary industry standards and best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify online transactions for accuracy, legitimacy, and correctness, including amounts, sources, destinations, dates, and other relevant information.

• Categorize transactions, assign accounts, classes or locations to transactions, and code them to the appropriate expense categories using QuickBooks Online.

• Handle multiple entity experiences and ensure accurate and timely account reconciliation.

• Collaborate heavily with clients, vendors, and team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

• Maintain a high level of data entry accuracy and ensure all transactions are recorded promptly and accurately in QuickBooks Online.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes, as required.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations.

• Continually improve knowledge and skills relevant to the Bookkeeping function, staying updated with industry trends and best practices.

• Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to transactions and accounts promptly and professionally. Requirements

• Possession of a minimum of 1 year of experience in a bookkeeping role

• Proficiency in account reconciliation and data entry tasks

• Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Excel for financial tasks and data management

• Experience with QuickBooks Online for managing financial accounts is required

• Strong bookkeeping skills, with an ability to manage and track multiple financial accounts

• High attention to detail and accuracy in all financial matters

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
