Robert Half Finance may have a great employment opportunity for a Financial Analyst that is highly qualified in finance and top-notch communication skills. Interested in joining an exciting company and growing team? Duties include conducting financial modeling on various financial products as well as measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives, and preparing reports for management. This Financial Analyst role is located in the Conway, Arkansas, and it is a full-time employment opportunity. A dynamic team has an opening for a business partner skilled in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management to join their ranks.

What you get to do every day

  • Work with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process

  • Keep track of monthly and quarterly performance by comparing actuals versus expectations and enabling business partners to handle their resources

  • Support Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis, as well as P&L forecasting

  • Present and monitor forecasting reports

  • Develop monthly reports to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required

  • An ideal candidate should be highly flexible, comfortable with large amounts of information, and adept at managing expectations

  • Work closely with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans

  • Survey performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities

  • Deliver effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide valuable foresight and decision support

  • Work with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

  • Possess the know-how and be able to explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

Requirements

  • Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations

  • Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well

  • Proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required

  • Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

  • Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred

  • Financial analysis experience

  • Cost accounting experience preferred

  • Practical knowledge of Asset Inventory

  • Quality experience with cost analysis

  • Well-founded grasp of fixed assets

  • General familiarity with CapEx

  • Proven knowledge of Fixed Asset Accounting

  • Earlier work involving Month-end Close Activities

  • Foundational knowledge in Manufacturing Cost Accounting

  • Good understanding of Month-end Journal Entries

  • Deep understanding of cost accounting

  • Manufacturing Cost Accounting experience desired

  • Previous experience working with bank reconciliations

  • Wide ranging experience with month end closings

  • BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

  • Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience preferred)

  • Practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

  • Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently
