Robert Half Staff Accountant in Conyers, Georgia
Description Robert Half is searching for an experienced Staff Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. As Staff Accountant, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. You will also be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. You will lend your skills to developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will take part in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and look over schedules for the reporting processes. This position is very complex as it plays a part in the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. This is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity in the Conyers, Georgia area, at a company where effort is rewarded.
Your responsibilities
Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers
Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting
In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process
Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision
Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable
Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request
Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation Requirements - Skilled with ERP systems
The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience required
Prepare Financial Statements experience desired
General ledger experience
Demonstrated knowledge of journal entries
Fixed Asset Ledger experience
Deep understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Adeptness in Depreciation Schedule
Self-starter and strong ethical standards

Recent and relevant accounting experience
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
