Jennie Joiner with Robert Half is seeking a Director of Finance to join a non-profit organization on the Oregon Coast. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills. The Director of Finance will be a part of the management team and have a seat at the table with decision making. Individuals to be considered must be willing to relocate to the Coos Bay area. What you get to do each day;
Oversee all hiring aspects of finance staff, including training and retention
Perform analysis on operating results, comparing against budget
Manage the organizational structure of the department in order to achieve goals and objectives
Comply with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements
Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance
Oversee daily operations of the finance and accounting department
Manage the operating procedures of the department, including short- and long-range goals, objectives, and policies- Direct risk and insurance management
Supervise all financial reporting preparation
Direct, review, and prepare financial planning and budget management functions
Manage the composition of financial outlooks and financial forecasts
Prepare financial analysis for product investment decisions and contract negotiations
Review and maintain budgeting and forecasting models
Develop five-year business plans with department managers
Requirements - Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
10+ years of accounting and finance experience
MBA or CPA is preferred
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
High analytical and extremely detailed
Knowledge of financial and accounting reporting systems
High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
