Description
Robert Half Finance and Accounting and Kevin Sweet have partnered with a rapidly growing national financial services company in Coppell, TX for a newly created Senior Accountant position. Due to significant organic growth and recent acquisitions, my client is looking to add to their corporate accounting team. This position will be involved with the daily accounting and operational activities and be part of a team that manages the month-end, quarter end and year end closing and financial reporting activities.

Responsibilities include:
Assist the accounting team with daily accounting and operational activities.
Prepare journal entries and participate with month-end close activities and deadlines.
Prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations.
Assist in preparation of financial statements and financial reporting information as required for SEC.
Analyze financial results for variance and KPI’s
Ability to understand process flow and how your tasks affect the larger picture.
Work with internal and external auditors to provide accurate, complete, and timely information.
Interested candidates must have a bachelor's degree in accounting with 3+ years of accounting or auditing experience with financial services, banking or mortgage industries. My client is open to individuals coming from public accounting, public / industry experience or working for straight industry experience with a Fortune 1000 employer. CPA or working towards your certification is highly preferred.
