This role prepares and consolidates financial statements, analyzes and reconciles accounts, analyzes cash flow, creates budgets and forecasts, prepares audits, and manages internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting to attain company goals. Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives
Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Assemble monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"
5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
ERP system experience
Strong attention to detail
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Skilled at time management
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Proficiency in Sage Intacct
Nonprofit Organizations experience
Government Grants experience desired
Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
