Description
Summary of position:
To ensure the development and support of business applications within our global Special Steels division. The IT Analyst will closely work with other IT teams and with business end users in North and South America to gather requirements, provide training and resolve issues.
Responsible for working closely with business stakeholders and end users to gather requirements and translate those into IT solutions; to include, driving application changes by doing process analysis, requirements gathering and design, and develop IT solutions meeting business requirements.
Responsible to design, develop, test and deploy solutions for our Business ERP systems.
Responsible for programming new functionality as well as maintain and support existing one within our Business ERP systems using robust and scalable code.
Responsible for documenting business processes and creating technical specifications (models & diagrams).
Provide end user support to our business users and troubleshoot issues; to include, understanding our business processes and offer sound technical solutions and training on existing and new functionality.
Ensure that the software continues to function normally through software maintenance and testing.
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
Responsible for reporting accurate project time and status.
Able to work on a high performing team environment and collaborate with other team members to complete tasks.
Foster relationships with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing and Global Services employees; to include continually seeking and capitalizing upon opportunities to increase internal client satisfaction and deepen customer relationships.
Requirements
Preferred Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited College or University, or an equivalent combination of education & experience
Proven 3+ years of hands on experience with maintaining and developing an ERP system, preferably SAP Business One
Proven experience programing with an SDK
Knowledgeable of XML and XSD schemas
Exposure to ETL and SSIS packages
Exposure to EDI and Integration technologies (SAP B1isn or Microsoft BizTalk).
Exposure to nesting and nesting software like SigmaNest
Familiar with mobile and digital solutions
Project management
Enterprise Resource Planning, SAP B1 - Business One, SDK - Software Development Kit, XML, XSD, Full SDLC, C Sharp Programming (C#), .NET, OOP - Object Oriented Programming, SQL Server, Requirements Gathering
