Robert Half Quality Assurance Supervisor in Cordova, Tennessee


Responsible for working with human resources staff to recruit, onboard, orient and train DQA staff.

Responsible for assigning and spreading work load of operation over DQA staff.

Responsible for monitoring completeness, accuracy and throughput of QDA staff.

Responsible for monitoring hold ques and working with both DQA and operations staff to maintain them at an acceptable level.

Acts as the primary liaison between local operations staff and billing department staff.

Responsible for ensuring that information and documentation required for proper billing of claims is obtained from field staff for all billable events for an assigned area, is promptly submitted and is properly completed.

Responsible for working with Field Staff, Operations Supervisors, Operations Managers and other management and support staff to obtain and complete any documentation required that is incomplete or has not been submitted.

Responsible for thoroughly evaluating all documentation received from operations personnel example PCRs, PCSs, Dispatch Personnel example CAD records, call types, priorities, and external customers example insurance and demographic information and ensure any shortcomings or discrepancies are addressed prior to submitting documentation and information to the billing office.

Responsible for evaluating all transports utilizing Service Level Tool and assigning the appropriate level of service.

Responsible for evaluating all transports utilizing PCR, Billing Pro software, hospital HER software and online and on phone to identify and assigning all potential third party payors.

Acts as the primary liaison between local operations staff and billing department staff.

Demonstrates knowledge, understanding and compliance of company policies and procedures.

Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of and compliance with Federal, State and local laws, rules, regulations, and guidelines as they pertain to reimbursement, collections, and compliance.

Demonstrates complete knowledge of proper ambulance billing, coding and posting procedures.

Ensures security of buildings, vehicles, equipment, supplies, systems and all other company property.

Ensures the security of all company computer systems by adhering to security procedures and utilizing appropriate passwords policies.

Performs daily appropriate housekeeping duties.

Complete and maintain appropriate training, certification and licensure for their position.

Maintain a high level of customer service.


Maintains security and privacy of all confidential and proprietary company information at all times in accordance with company policy.

Maintains security and privacy of all company and patient information at all times in accordance HIPPA and all other local, state and federal regulations.

Notifies Manager of any lapses in documentation resulting in less than full compliance with compliance and HIPAA standards.

Is responsible for keeping billing and patient care records secure in accordance with proper HIPAA and document retention standards..

Reports to assigned shifts properly groomed and attired and on time unless the proper notification has been made. Remains on duty until properly relieved.

At all times sets an example of professionalism and places customer service, compliance and safety above all else.

Notifies DQA Manager of any questions, concerns or issues regarding billing, collections or compliance matters.

Work closely with Operations and Dispatch Management and Personnel to ensure timely, accurate and complete information and documentation is available to be submitted for proper billing services
