Robert Half is recruiting a Labor & Employment Associate for the Marin office (hybrid telecommute OK) of its large statewide law firm client. This practice represents the firm’s private entity employers, including major banking and financial services clientele and from other business industries.

Must have 3+ years of general civil litigation practice, and ideally commercial lit experience, and a strong interest to practice L& E law. The ideal candidate will already have at least 1-2+ years of experience in employment litigation as part of their practice. Qualifications include excellent writing and oral advocacy skills, diverse discovery and law & motion experience, and optimally some trial work. This is definitely a partnership-track opportunity, so career-minded litigators with strong work ethic are encouraged to apply!

The target salary is $125,000 - 185,000+/yr, DOE, plus bonuses ranging from $7,000 to $20,000+, depending on amount of hours billed. Requirements

• Must be able to answer complex legal questions with clarity and precision

• Requires active bar admission

• Demonstrated expertise in case management

• Proficient understanding of civil procedure

• Familiarity with the workings of State courts

• Experience in defense litigation is preferred

• Knowledge of discrimination and EEOC regulations

• Skilled in the discovery process in litigation

• Ability to draft pleadings effectively

• Experience in handling employment discrimination cases

• Proficiency in employment litigation

• Understanding of employment law from the employer's perspective

• Ability to handle and analyze evidence in legal cases

• Experience in drafting and responding to interrogatories

• Knowledge of labor law

• Proficient in legal research

• Committed to continual professional development

• Familiarity with state laws

• Experience in dealing with witnesses

• Previous trial experience is required

• Demonstrated ability in negotiating settlements

• Proficient in drafting and arguing motions.
